One nail at a time, builds their home.
It will provide the kids clean water to wash their faces, and brush their teeth.
To keep them cool during those hot Texas summer days.
Making it easy for Laura to watch her kids playing in the backyard.
The doors that open opportunities for the Rosales Family.
Help us reach our goal as a church to raise $9,000. We will build from Saturday, March 2nd, until Saturday May 11. We need YOUR help! We have 3/2 and 4/27 reserved for Saint John's members, so please sign up here: https://austinhabitat.volunteerhub.com/lp/stjohnsumc/
Saturday, March 2nd at 8am we will raise the first walls for the Rosales family.
The promise of opportunity is what brought Laura Rosales, and her family, to Austin from the small south Texas town of Kenedy as a teenager. It is what continues to drive her today as a hardworking, single mother of five and dispatcher at Jerry’s Texan Towing. Despite once finding stability and promise in Austin, Laura now finds herself struggling to provide her 5 children with a consistent and safe place to live due to the lack of affordable housing. Laura shares a two-bedroom duplex in South Austin with her five children; Josiah (2), Michael (6), Michaela (8), Ray (12), and Kaithlyn (16). Help us making dream ownership a reality for Laura, and her family.
