Join the Central Texas Catholic community and Austin Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a deserving family. This will be the 25th home Catholics have built in partnership with Austin Habitat.
One nail at a time builds a home.
Your donation will purchase a ceiling fan to keep the home cool.
A door that will open new opportunities.
Shelter in it's most basic form.
From which all homes rise, the foundation makes everything possible.
We will begin this build Saturday, March 6, building every Saturday through June. This will be the 25 home to be built by the Catholic community in Austin, TX. Named after the late Bishop John E. McCarthy in 1998, his legacy lives on with each and every build.
Future homeowner, Juana, simply wants a safe and stable place to call home for her family. Juana’s four children Mary Jo (18), Casey (14), Arthur (9), Asaiah (3) and granddaughter Brittney (1) currently live in a cramped rental house that is in need of significant repairs. Despite working two jobs as a housekeeper, Juana has been unable to put enough money aside to purchase a home of her own.
